Testing guide
Thanks for helping test WayRound. This is what we ask of testers, and how to send feedback we can act on. Taking part means you agree to the test terms.
What we ask
- Use WayRound for at least two rides or walks in your first two weeks, then whenever you head out.
- Send feedback after any ride where something looked wrong or confusing. Tell us what worked well, too.
- Keep automatic updates on in Google Play, so you always have the newest test build.
Sending feedback
Feedback goes from inside the app, so it arrives with the logs we need to find the problem.
- Open Profile → Settings → Send beta feedback.
- Choose Bug or Idea. For a bug, say what you expected, what happened, and roughly where.
- Leave Attach recent logs on. Tap Add screenshot if a picture helps.
- Tap Continue in email, then send it from your email app. Use the address you signed up with, so we know it's you.
The logs include your GPS positions from recent rides, which may show where you live or ride. We use them only to find and fix problems. Turn off Attach recent logs if you'd rather not share them.
If the map itself is wrong, such as a closed path or a turn that isn't there, tap Report a map problem while navigating. Routes you plan then go round that spot.
Ride safely
This is a test build and it will have bugs. Keep your eyes on the road and look at the screen only when it's safe. On long or remote rides, carry another way to find your way home.
Your place in the test
The test has 100 places. If we haven't had feedback from you for four weeks, we may give your place to someone else. You can request an invite again at any time.
Leaving the test
Open the opt-in link from your invite email and choose to leave the program, or email support@wayround.app and we'll remove you.
